Rude Awakening

Mumbai is terror struck! Indians world-wide should be.
The shooting attacks in Mumbai are not the wrath of religious fundamentalists, are they? Are we so blinded that we can't see the hand of internal agencies in these acts? The security breach is outrageous. Without adequate support, there is no way all this mayhem could have taken place!
Is it not time to seek the truth behind these supposed crimes in the name of religion? Sometime ago, I had denounced just the terrorist organizations. The Mumbai terror attack, in the wake of the Malegaon blast case development, is a rude awakening to the fact that the Indian Government and Politicians are definitely culpable. Whether directly involved with these heinous crimes, or through their indirect backing or tolerance, unless these power-mongers realize that they must keep the safety of the country's citizens above their selfish desires, we cannot be safe in our own country.
I salute to ATS chief Hemant Karkare's bravery and courage: in his relentless efforts to pursue his findings in the Malegaon blast case. He has left countless people thinking and questioning our beliefs as well as the crap that we are fed in the name of facts (read the involvement of Muslims in the terrorist attacks). I hope that the crusade he started continues and we are ultimately given the truth in place of convenient rhetoric.
We need people like Hemant Karkare to transform India. We need to do whatever we can to make India a better place. It doesn't matter whether we are trained in combat or just serve from the good of our heart; we need to make an effort to make a difference! Let us!

What is their end?

The Delhi serial blasts are just another rude reminder to the Indians that they are at the mercy of those who are the self-proclaimed fighters of freedom. Freedom of what, freedom from what are questions that even they can't answer. The nation's back is breaking, one bone at a time and there has got be something that we Indians can do to restore it to its glory: the glory that has only existed in each thinking Indian's mind till date but is crying in despair to be realized.

For how long will we sit by and do nothing to make our indignation heard and our voices carried to anyone who has the capacity to listen and the ability to do something to fight this ugly spot on the fabric of humanity, of the world? The terrorists want their land; they want respect for their community. Are they really this naive as to think that their means will ensure the respect they think people owe their religion and their community?

There could not be a single soul in this world who is not bearing the consequences of their responsibility. There is not a single soul who is grateful for these self-appointed fighters for a cause; a cause that these fighters themselves don't recognize. What is their end people? Are these means justified to achieve that end, if any?!
